As Alanis Morisette once said (and don't try to pretend you didn't totally love that album when it came out!) "life has a funny way of helping you out when you think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up in your fay-ace." You mention you're having a terrible week, and one of your friends sends you a present. Don't ever let anybody tell you that this isn't a wonderful world.
Look what I received, completely unexpectedly, in the post:
Tea hand-picked by trained monkeys (seriously) and a Penguin of Death mug to drink it in. Are you familiar with the Penguin of Death? "Things you need to know about The Penguin of Death: He is strangely attractive because of his enigmatic smile. He can kill you in any 1 of 412 different ways."
Funnily enough, this isn't the only gift of tea I have received recently. Can you tell I like tea? Did you know that about me? I wasn't sure if I'd made that clear enough to you, my readers. As you can see, my friends and family are well aware of this fact:
My splendid stepmum sent me this from Cyprus a few weeks ago: an advent calendar of tea! 25 different teas, one for each day of advent. I was going to wait until December to share it with you, but since I was rabbitting on about tea gifts, I thought now would be a good time to bring it in.
Good job I baked those Spicy Chocolate Pumpkin Puffs, eh?
um i LOVE alanis morisette! she is a wise women, hehe! what a sweet gift! tea is always such a welcomed gift especially if hand picked by monkeys!
