Another skirt from the
Christmas Charity Shop extravaganza (this one was £1.99 from the
Sally Army), another crucial two or three inch reduction necessary to save me from frumpiness. Somehow I had remembered this as a pencil skirt, but I was very pleased to discover, upon retrieving it from my Sewing Pile, that it is actually pleated (more room to manoeuvre!) and that it has those most precious commodities in a skirt: pockets!
I have finally figured out how to crop my photos to get them the right size (and edit out all the messy corners of my room) using Picnik via Picasa Web Albums - I didn't realise they were all connected through Blogger! So, we now have the added bonus of tidy photos, and maybe when I have a bit of time to sit and play around with it, you might also be seeing some colour/exposure editing, too. In the meantime, you'll just have to cope with me being pale and pasty, but since that is how I am (Greek hair, English skin), I'm sure you will be polite enough not to mention it.
Anyway, I digress. Here's the amended skirt!
Yes, I am wearing my new peacock necklace, as she matches the fabric of the skirt to a tee:
Next time I'll show you the finally-finished
owl jumper! Eyes and everything!
Lovely skirt Eleni!
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is great! Nice length too.
ReplyDeleteI have one that needs doing, but I need the motivation to do it! I like it long too, but it would look MUCH better a bit shorter like yours.
Ooh, gorgeous skirt! And love the green shoes :)
