It's Nice That

You may have noticed a new blog has appeared in my blogroll over there to your left: It's Nice That.  It's a brilliant website which is updated daily with inspirational (and jealousy-inducing) news from the art and design world.  The reason I mention it to you is that they have done a collaboration with ASOS, and I happen to know not one, but two of the t-shirt designers (I'm so down with the kids) so I wanted to spread the love.

(Sorry the pictures are not the best quality, click the links below to go to the ASOS site and see them properly!)

This t-shirt was designed by Owen Silverwood, of my old Brockley crew:

Not only is he a designer and photgrapher extraordinaire, he has the most stylish wife (start a blog already, Emily!) and they now have an adorable puppy to boot.  They are so ridiculously cool that their wedding has been featured in a bunch of magazines and websites (Cosmo Bride, anyone?).

The second designer is none other than my lovely cousin, Sophie Kern:

Sophie is a graphic designer, illustrator, and collage artist, and she does a lot of quirky splicings of images of animals, people (or pieces of people) and ghosts with smiley faces on them.  There are loads of images from nature, and lots of pattern.  She makes me very proud :)

There are ten different designers included in the ASOS/It's Nice That collaboration, and although they are all technically for men, they go down to a size XXS (32-34 inch chest) so they would definitely fit girls, too.  Obviously they are limited editions, so I hope there will still be some left in my size come Pay Day!  Oh yes, I nearly forgot to mention: with every t-shirt you purchase you get a free A3 print of the original artwork - sweet!
