Hello and Happy New Year my dears! I trust you all had a splendid festive season and (since you've all been such good girls and boys) had your stockings well and truly stuffed. I spent a blissful Christmas in Bath with my beloved, then journeyed to my Ma's to eat myself sick for a few more days, but as if that wasn't enough of a treat, I was given a snazzy new camera!
Ooh...digital...
Yes, dear readers, you will be pleased to learn that I have finally joined the Digital Age. For those of you who can't read backwards but are interested in that sort of thing, it's a Pentax Optio M90. (Hmm, actually now I've looked at the website I kind of wish they'd got me the red one - sshh! Don't tell them I said so).
In true granny style I am still trying to figure the little bugger out - it has an astonishing number of "Scene" modes (including Foliage Mode - more on that later). And don't worry, the only reason the picture above looks rubbish is because I took it in the toilet at work. All for you, dear readers - I couldn't just tell you I'd got a new camera, could I? I had to show you something!
So, in 2011 you can expect my photographs to be of a far superior quality than to date. You can also expect me to dump quite a few festive posts on you for the next week or so, OK? Thanks.
Roll on the avalanche of festive posts adorned with a barrage of superior quality photos! Red, yes, red would have been nice....
ReplyDeleteBlack is nice too
Hi Eleni,
ReplyDeleteThankyou for my birthday wishes - and I can assure you, the kettle WAS put on, frequently....
congrats on the new camera.
I know what you mean about the different modes. Ive got that on mine, and I only ever use the one called simple mode.
I keep thinking that one day Ill learn a bit more about it.
Cheers
Fi
