Where's Rose?
Oops!
Now, before you start chastising me as an irresponsible plant owner, may I please draw your attention to the severe weather warnings we have had in the UK the last couple of days? 20mph winds (in Bath - up to 65mph elsewhere apparently!) and lashings of rain, perhaps I should have brought my babies inside before something like this happened? In my defence, I was staying overnight elsewhere on the night this incident occurred. Luckily the (very tall) proprietor of the cafe downstairs* was awfully kind and shimmied up onto the roof to retrieve Rose for me.
Lesson learned. I have brought them into the cosy indoors, and even charity shopped a couple of jaunty new pots for Pink Chris and Adventurous Rose (as she has now been christened, after her death-defying four-story leap) since they were the most bedraggled of the four and I felt terribly guilty. Godspeed my pretties, get well soon!
*(Of course, in the name of good karma I would love to tell you the name of this Samaritan and of his wonderful cafe, but then you would all know excactly where I live, and that woudn't be sensible now, would it?)
No not at all !
ReplyDeleteBut I am so glad that the good fellow retrieved Rose for you :-)
The image of Bath from your window looks like Florence, don't you think? Or indeed, any Italian town!
Thank you for your kind words about our special news!

Most of the houses in our country have this type of garden due to the lack of the space and hence we should not bother about these.
